Valentine shop windows – easy and fun
Valentine windows remind customers to plan gifts and that your shop is a good place to start
It’s been the toughest year imaginable for retailers and that makes a key spending season all the more important. Valentine’s Day is one of the biggest spending moments of the year. Whether your shop is open or forced to close at the moment, it’s important to grab some attention and direct potential customers to your products and also where they can buy them – in your shop, on your website or a Facebook or Instagram page.
Valentine shop windows say you’ve got suitable gifts and most importantly a fresh new window attracts attention. One you’ve got attention, it’s then important to direct it to where customers can buy. Kits can be tailored to say where/how customers can buy from you.
Don’t shy away from some of the simplest and most effective ideas such as hearts which come in many variations. Hearts can be combined with coordinated info graphics letting customers know how to find you if you’re not open. Kits look so different depending on how they’re used, and you’ll get a fabulous and unique window easily.
Think creatively about what you offer and how it can work for Valentine’s Day
This year Valentine’s Day will have special meaning for many people. Some of our loved ones we’ve been separated from and might want to give gifts that indicate how much we’re thinking of them. We also have families that we have spent many months with and maybe wish to express something thoughtful to suit them. There are many reasons we might want to give gifts this year to show we’re thinking of friends and family. Think broadly about what you offer and how it might appeal. Then as you build your idea consider how you want to focus on those items and thoughts. Consider what makes your business unique. Are you an independent business that many people in your local community would like to support? Highlight what makes you special.
Graphics can bring attention, make your business stand out and let people know what you offer, that you’re independent and where to find you
Arrange graphics (stickers) to enhance your products, keep the view of product clear but allow graphics to draw attention:
- grouped around the edge of the window to frame the display,
- an eye catching bold graphic such as a lip print can grab attention in a fun way or
- perhaps a delicate arrangement of flowers circling the main items in the window display.
It’s particularly effective with smaller products, such as jewellery, to position graphics (perhaps hearts or flowers) around the display to draw attention to small products.
There are so many options to create great Valentine shop windows. The examples below show just how much the colour and grouping contributes to creating a really unique display for your business.
Lip Print – Scatter Kit shown below has plenty of impact, is fun and clearly conveys a Valentine shop window vibe, (all kits are made in professional window vinyl, of course).

Mother’s Day window graphics – Mother’s Day is soon after Valentine’s Day (Sunday 14 March 2021) – and like Valentine’s Day may be very special this year especially where so many of us have had to stay away from our Mums and Grandmothers to keep them safe.
Easter shop window graphics and Spring windows may also be ways to attract attention to your business.
Every kit can be made in a colour to suit your business (choose from over 30 colours). Match to your brand or your display to create a unique, eye-catching window.
